Van Gogh replica completely out of 10.000 sunflowers

SamenvattingAt the museum a giant replica of a self-portrait of Van Gogh attracts all the attention. That is probably because the work is entirely made of sunflowers. The unique stunt for Shell is devised by brand activation agency BrandBase to share Shell’s involvement with the research into the way Vincent van Gogh worked and the exhibition ‘Van Gogh at Work’ in a striking and beautiful way with the Netherlands.
The replica of the 1888 self-portrait was a challenging project. The 10 by 8 meters panel was filled with 10.000 sunflowers collected and arranged by size and hue. The project was so special that it already made the newspapers in pre-production.
